Terms of Service
Please read these terms carefully before using our traditional healing consultations, wellness shop and related online services.
Last updated: 15 September 2026
1. About these Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the ABATHANDANAYO website, online shop, consultation booking service and related services (collectively, the "Services"). By accessing or using the Services, you agree to these Terms.
If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use the Services. Additional terms may apply to particular products, consultations, promotions or payment arrangements and will form part of these Terms where applicable.
2. Our Services
ABATHANDANAYO provides traditional healing consultations, traditional herbal and wellness products, cleansing preparations, spiritual products and related cultural services. Products and consultations are offered in accordance with the information displayed on the website and are subject to availability.
We may update, replace, suspend or discontinue products or features of the Services from time to time.
3. Traditional Healing and Health Disclaimer
Our products and consultations are rooted in traditional African healing knowledge, cultural practices and wellness traditions. They are not a substitute for diagnosis, treatment or advice from a registered medical practitioner, pharmacist, psychologist, dietitian or other appropriately qualified healthcare professional.
Product descriptions are provided for general information and traditional-use context. Do not rely on information on this website as a diagnosis or as a guarantee that a product will prevent, cure or treat a particular disease or medical condition.
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have an existing medical condition, take prescription or over-the-counter medicine, or intend to give a product to a child, seek advice from an appropriately qualified healthcare professional before use.
Follow the directions, warnings and usage information supplied with each product. Stop using a product and seek appropriate medical assistance if you experience a serious or unexpected reaction.
4. Consultations
Consultation appointments are subject to availability and confirmation. Where online consultations are offered, the available platform may include WhatsApp or Microsoft Teams. Face-to-face consultations are held at the location stated during booking.
You are responsible for providing accurate information when booking. Please arrive or connect on time. If you need to change or cancel an appointment, contact us as soon as reasonably possible. Any applicable cancellation or rescheduling terms shown during booking will apply.
A consultation does not create a doctor-patient relationship and does not replace emergency or conventional medical care.
5. Products, Prices and Availability
We take reasonable care to ensure that product descriptions, photographs, prices and availability are accurate. Colours, packaging, natural ingredients and appearance may vary, particularly for handmade or naturally harvested products.
Prices are displayed in South African Rand (ZAR) unless stated otherwise. We may correct pricing or availability errors and may cancel an order where an obvious error has occurred, subject to applicable law.
An order is not necessarily accepted until payment has been successfully processed and the order has been confirmed by us.
6. Orders and Payment
You must provide complete and accurate information when placing an order. Payment may be processed through third-party payment providers, including PayFast, as presented at checkout.
We do not intentionally store full payment-card details on our website where those details are handled directly by the payment provider. You should also review the payment provider's terms and privacy information.
We may refuse or cancel an order where reasonably necessary, including where a product is unavailable, payment cannot be verified, fraud or abuse is suspected, or an obvious pricing or listing error has occurred.
7. Delivery
We deliver within the areas and by the delivery methods displayed by us. Current delivery partners may include PEP PAXI, Aramex Store-to-Door and PostNet.
Delivery times are estimates and may be affected by the courier, weather, public holidays, incorrect delivery information or circumstances outside our reasonable control. You are responsible for providing an accurate delivery address and contact details.
8. Returns, Refunds and Defective Products
Nothing in these Terms limits rights that you may have under South African consumer protection law. Where a product is damaged, defective, incorrect or otherwise gives rise to a lawful return or refund right, contact us using the details below as soon as reasonably possible with your order information and supporting photographs where appropriate.
Certain products may be unsuitable for return after opening or use for health, hygiene or safety reasons, to the extent permitted by applicable law. We will assess each request in accordance with the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 and other applicable law.
9. Accounts and Acceptable Use
If you create an account, you are responsible for keeping your login information secure and for activity carried out through your account. You must provide truthful information and must not impersonate another person.
You may not use the website to commit unlawful activity, interfere with the operation or security of the Services, attempt unauthorised access, distribute malware, scrape or copy protected content at scale, or misuse consultation, ordering or payment systems.
10. Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise stated, the ABATHANDANAYO name, branding, website design, text, photographs, graphics, product descriptions and other website content are owned by or licensed to ABATHANDANAYO and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. You may use the website for personal, lawful purposes only. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify or commercially exploit our content without prior written permission.
11. Privacy and POPIA
We process personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable South African law, including the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA).
POPIA establishes conditions for lawful processing of personal information and gives data subjects rights concerning their personal information. Our Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how it may be shared, security measures, retention, cross-border processing and how you can exercise your rights.
12. Third-Party Services
The Services may rely on third-party providers for payments, authentication, hosting, communications, video consultations, analytics, delivery and other functionality. Third parties may have their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the independent acts or omissions of third-party services outside our reasonable control.
13. Availability and Security
We aim to keep the website available and secure, but no online service can be guaranteed to be uninterrupted, error-free or completely secure. We may temporarily restrict access for maintenance, security, updates or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
14. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ABATHANDANAYO will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss arising from your use of the Services. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including statutory consumer rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms when our Services, legal obligations or business practices change. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Services after an update constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms to the extent permitted by law.
16. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any dispute will be dealt with in accordance with applicable South African law, including mandatory consumer protection and dispute-resolution rights.
